Since I have been going to Chicago I have had the priviledge or working and training along with sone of the best in the business. Harry Frank, Nick Campbell, Mason Dixon to name a few. My very first year I met a gentleman from Detroit by the name of Elijah Lewis, Jr. Elijah is BIG in the audio game and he's worked with some of the heavyweights. Kelly Price, The Cheetah Girls, and many others. I also met Michael Azzariti of Blackbag Films who happens to be my mentor as well. He has truly shown me and helped me hone my early tabletop shoots. Not only is he a great mentor, but a great friend as well. You can check out his work http://www.blackbagfilms.com. Truly a master at his craft, and he has shown me the appreciation of tabletop production. IT'S NOT EASY! As a result of being mentored by Michael, I now cringe when I see local food commercials. Poorly designed concept of spots, bad lighting, no food and sometimes not enough food in the commercials. Unfortunately, it's an educational process when trying to convince or educate a client/potential client about why they need an effective and beautiful food commercial. It's very challenging when the bar is set so low for excellence, rather than the bar is raised for "how much" is this going to cost type of mentality. Thank you Michael for all that you have done and continue to do, and for all I'm glad that I met you my friend. One day we will work together on that much sought after tabletop job.
